Yachts along a Florida waterway in humid afternoon light

Fort Lauderdale and Newport Β· the whole east coast run, both ways, every year

North in June,
south in November.

The American season is a migration, and almost everything that goes wrong happens on the two deliveries rather than in the two seasons. Bridges, inlets, hurricane deadlines and a customs regime that treats a foreign-flagged yacht quite differently from a domestic one.

  • Cruising licence renewed before it lapses
  • Yard slots held for both ends of the run
  • Hurricane plan agreed by 1 June

What we do

Florida, the run, and New England

How we work

What is different about running a yacht here

01

The customs regime is unforgiving

A cruising licence that lapses cannot simply be renewed; the vessel has to leave and come back, usually to the Bahamas. We calendar it a year out, because the alternative is an unplanned crossing in the wrong week.

02

Hurricane season has a deadline, not a warning

Yards and holes are allocated in the spring. By the time a storm has a name, the good options are taken and the insurer is asking what your plan was.

03

The run is the risky part

Two deliveries a year past Hatteras with fixed bridge schedules and inlets that move. Most damage we deal with happened on a delivery that nobody was watching.

04

One agent for both coasts of the season

The same person in Fort Lauderdale in January and Newport in July. Handing a vessel between two firms at Beaufort is where the details get dropped.

β€œOur licence was three weeks from expiring and nobody had told the owner it could not just be renewed. They had a Bahamas turn planned and cleared inside a week, and now it is on a calendar we all see. That single thing has paid for them twice over.”

About this page

Everything above is a demonstration

The business, the listings and the reviews are invented β€” this page exists to show what someone could put on usayachting.com. The domain itself is genuinely for sale.

Domain for sale

usayachting.com is available

You are looking at a demonstration, not a real business. We built it to show what this domain could carry β€” the company, the stock and the reviews are invented.

  1. 1

    Make an enquiry

Tell us who you are and what you would use it for. It costs nothing and puts you under no obligation.

  2. 2

    Agree a price

We reply with a price or consider your offer. Most conversations are settled within a couple of working days.

  3. 3

    Pay into escrow

Funds go to a licensed third-party escrow agent, never straight to us. They hold the money until the transfer is confirmed.

  4. 4

    Take ownership

We push the authorisation code to your registrar. You control the domain, usually within a week; escrow then releases the funds.

The demonstration site is not part of the sale by default β€” but if you want it, say so in your enquiry and we will include the source.
